How the heist works
Elysium Heist is a community project on the Elysium chain (chain ID 99901). HEIST is a token launched on Montra and paired with HYPE. Robbers are soulbound NFTs backed by locked HEIST. They mine HYPE from HEIST trading fees.
HEIST on Montra
- Standard Montra launch: 1,000,000,000 HEIST in a Uniswap v4 pool against HYPE, Elysium's own coin. The token has no owner and no mint function.
- Every HEIST trade pays a fee of 3%, in HYPE. Montra keeps 0.40% of the trade and the creator receives the rest, 2.60% of the volume.
- The creator's share waits in Montra's launch contract until it is claimed. The keeper claims it.
Montra also tracks a graduation line for every launch; the bar on the Haul floor reads its progress from Montra's contracts.
Robbers
- Recruiting a robber locks 500,000 HEIST in the vault contract.
- A wallet can recruit at most 3 robbers in its lifetime, for 1,500,000 HEIST in total. Redeeming never returns a slot.
- At most 333 robbers can ever be recruited. Burned robbers do not come back.
- Robbers are soulbound. They cannot be transferred, sold or approved.
Reveal
Recruiting records the current block. The robber's edition is drawn from the hash of the next block, which does not exist when you send the transaction. Reveals run in recruit order, so nobody can reorder them to steer which robber someone else receives. Anyone can trigger a reveal; the keeper does it automatically. If a reveal waits longer than 256 blocks (about four minutes), the draw moves to a fresh future block.
Hashrate
| Tier | Robbers | Hashrate |
|---|---|---|
| Common | 200 | 100 H/s |
| Rare | 90 | 130 H/s |
| Epic | 33 | 170 H/s |
| Legendary | 10 | 250 H/s |
Tiers come from trait rarity. Each edition gets a score that adds up how rare each of its traits is; the top 10 editions are Legendary, the next 33 Epic, the next 90 Rare and the remaining 200 Common. The tier table is locked in the contract before recruiting opens, with a provenance hash of every image.
The network hashrate counts revealed robbers that are still alive. With all 333 alive it is 39,810 H/s. Burns lower it, which raises everyone else's share.
Example
Say HEIST trades $50,000 a day at its 3% fee. The creator receives 2.60%, which is $1,300. The vault gets 80% of that, $1,040 a day, paid in HYPE. With 39,810 H/s live, a Common robber (100 H/s) earns about $2.61 a day and a Legendary (250 H/s) about $6.53. Try your own numbers in the calculator on the Haul floor.
Payouts
- At every 10-minute mark of the clock (:00, :10, :20 and so on, UTC) the keeper claims HEIST's creator fees from Montra, in HYPE. The countdown on this page runs to that mark.
- It sends 80% to the vault; 20% stays with the project wallet.
- The vault splits each payout by live hashrate at that moment.
- Every payout is a transaction on Elysium. The payout record on the Haul floor lists them, newest first, each linked to the explorer.
- HYPE that arrives before any robber is revealed waits and goes to the first revealed robbers.
Exit
Redeeming burns the robber. 400,000 HEIST (80%) goes back to you and 100,000 HEIST (20%) goes to the treasury. Unclaimed HYPE stays claimable. The lifetime recruit count does not go down.
Wallets
Press Connect and the site lists the wallets it finds on your device. Browser extensions and wallet apps announce themselves (EIP-6963), so they appear with their own name and icon. In a phone browser with no wallet, the list offers to open this site inside a wallet app instead.
- Connecting shares your address and nothing else. This demo never asks you to sign or send anything.
- If your wallet is on another network, the site can ask it to switch to Elysium (99901), and to add Elysium if the wallet doesn't know it yet.
- No wallet? The demo wallet holds simulated HEIST so you can try the whole flow.
Contracts and status
The vault contract is written and tested: 35 unit tests, two fuzz tests of reward accounting and an invariant campaign of thousands of random recruits, reveals, burns, payouts and claims, plus a rehearsal against Montra's real contracts on a copy of Elysium. It has not had an external audit. Nobody, including the owner, can move the locked HEIST.
